Calling all pups and their pawrents! PARK has partnered with BLVD Beltline to bring an all-new - and dare we say, the cutest - outdoor dog park experience to YYC. BVLD BARK provides a welcoming space for you, your furry friends and your human friends, with vibrant murals, snapshot-worthy sculptures, and art-adorned picnic tables to enjoy throughout the fully fenced park!

“As one of few dog parks in the dense inner-city radius, pups will jump at the chance to play around off-leash and pose for a photo with the doggo inspired sculptures,” says YYC-based artist Kiran Rai, who aided in painting and the design of the sculptures. “I’m really passionate about creating vibrant public spaces and making art accessible. This project was a way to add some colour and life onto the streets of Calgary, while cultivating a sense of community in the urban environment.”

Working alongside Kiran to bring the park to life, Tierney Milne, who designed the vibrant murals seen throughout the park. “Any chance to design a space for dogs and their owners to enjoy was super exciting to me, especially when colour is involved.”

BLVD BARK is now open to the public at BLVD Beltline (1229 Macleod Trail SE). A special thank you to all of the artists, including Tyler Lemermeyer and Drip & Roll who assisted with painting, and Mark Lang and the team at CP Wood Gallery for bringing our vision to life. Remember to tag us in your photos so we can see your adorable furry friends!
