Events Coordinator - Calgary
PARK is seeking an Event Coordinator to assist the events team through seamless event planning and execution of PARK’s events and programming. This individual will work closely with the Events Director, coordinators and volunteers to achieve organizational goals. Must work well in fast paced environments and have excellent troubleshooting skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with coordination and correspondence between PARK team, event production partners and external stakeholders
- Assist with updating and maintaining event procedure documents and plans
- Contributing to customer satisfaction at every event, provide suggestions for better guest services practices to improve guest experiences
- Provide detailed updates to Events Director regarding event planning progress, timelines and deadlines
- Assist with planning and execution of event set-up and take-down on event day
- Assist with recruiting, coaching, and training volunteers for event day
- Mandatory attendance at PARK team meetings
SKILLS
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent professional writing and communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and deal with day of crisis management
- Ability to work in a high stress environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Proficient in Mac Suite (Pages, Numbers, Keynote)
- Proficient in using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Post-secondary education with a concentration in Business Administration, Hospitality or Communications
- Two to five years work experience

- Access to a vehicle is an asset
