NEW YEAR WELLNESS GUIDE: ACTIVEWEAR & LOUNGEWEAR FROM OUR FAVE CANADIAN BRANDS

Recently, we’ve been rounding up some of our favourite local and Canadian businesses to help you reach your new year wellness goals. For our final installment of our wellness guide, we’re bringing you our picks for stylish Canadian activewear and loungewear. After all, if we’re going to be stuck at home, we may as well be comfortable and cute while we're at it. Plus, who doesn't love a cozy matching set for a night of Netflix or a killer new outfit to crush an at-home workout.

1. THE LIVERY SHOP

If you’re a Calgarian, you’re probably no stranger to The Livery Shop. And while they carry a range of clothing, accessories and home goods for just about everyone, we’ve been loving these cozy sweat sets from Camp Brand Goods. They’re unisex too, so you can match with your boo, bestie, or both.

2. ELIZA FAULKNER

Is there anything Eliza Faulkner can't make cute? The answer is no. The Montreal designer has recently dropped a collection of cozy at-home essentials from cotton fleece dresses to feminine sweat sets that you will be more than okay wearing to your next virtual meeting.

3. TITIKA ACTIVE COUTURE

Titika Active Couture is for those who love to make a statement in their athletic apparel with unique cuts, bold colours (don’t worry - there are more subdued options too) and precise details. Better yet? The Toronto-based company’s sharp attention to detail paired with fabric technologies that keep you comfortable, will even have you wanting to wear your garments beyond your workouts (ie. running errands, watching netflix, dancing in your kitchen, etc.).

4. SWEAT SOCIETY

Although now based out of Vancouver, Sweat Society’s roots started right here in YYC. The company has made a name for itself when it comes to stylish and ethically sourced activewear, ensuring that each piece you purchase is sweatshop-free 100% of the time, and made with recycled materials as much as possible.

5. LEZE THE LABEL

“Recycled workwear that feels like pyjamas” - this is the slogan of Vancouver-based brand, Leze the Label, and they deliver on that promise. Using recycled materials for their garments such as fishing nets, plastic bottles and coffee grinds (yes, coffee), the brand serves up the perfect cozy sets and separates for those working from home.

6. NARCES

Is regular loungewear not cutting it for you? No need to worry - Canadian luxury-wear brand, NARCES, has come to your rescue with a line of loungewear looks made from silk, satin and lace. While it is a steeper price point, many of the pieces could be easily incorporated into your evening wear and/or every day wardrobe (you know, for when we get out into the world again).
